Welcome to my site, I provide motorsport commentary for events up and down the country at a variety of Race tracks as well as presenting shows on a selection of radio stations. Here you can find information about what I do, some Show-reels of my previous work and have a look at my calendar of events for the year ahead.
My 2018 Commentating calendar has now been finalised and it can be viewed on the relevant page. This year will see me head around the country once again to commentate on some top class racing from a number of different championships and series, there's some real highlights for me throughout the year which I can't wait for but to be fair they're all going to be great weekends considering how close and exciting club racing can be in this country. Check it out now!
ROLL ON 2018
First off Happy new year everyone! 2018 is now starting to take shape for me with plenty of meetings in the pipeline for the year ahead with a mixture of UK & International dates. Not everything is confirmed yet so my calendar is not currently available but hopefully in the next couple of weeks everything will be sewn together. I look forward to the season ahead and I hope our paths will cross at some circuits throughout the year!
After a few weeks off in April it's now time to visit 3 different circuits in the space of just one week, first up this Bank holiday weekend I'll be visiting Silverstone on Saturday for the next rounds of some of the championships from the 750MC which should see plenty of action around the short national circuit, this will then be followed by a trip to Brands Hatch on Monday for a mixture of races which includes Bernie's V8's, Formula Vee, Allcomers, Lotus racing and the new for 2017 BMW Z Cars which will all be happening on the wonderful GP circuit.
The weekend after (6/7 May) I'll be making my first trip of the year to Snetterton which will see a couple of Endurance races across the 2 days, firstly the Britcar Endurance Championship takes centre stage on Saturday followed by a new initiave this year which will be in the form of a 4 hour Citreon C1 race on Sunday, support classes come from the Kumho BMW's, Junior saloons and Hyundai Coupe cup. An eventful couple of weeks are defintely in store.
2017 SEASON IS ALMOST GO
The new Motorsport season is nearly underway for me as I'll be back behind the mic this weekend (10-12 Feb) in Spain for the 2017 Rotax Max Winter Cup, the Kart scene is always a great place to see the rising talent in the world and this year will be no different as a brand new class has been added to the ever popular ranks of the Juniors, Seniors and DD2 classes, so let battle commence in Valencia as all drivers battle for the Winter cup crown.
My full 2017 Commentary schedule is also now available to view under the calendar page which once again sees me travelling around the UK at what should be some really enjoyable events on both two and four wheels, along with these I'll also be heading abroad to work on some of the Rotax meetings this year which provide plenty of bumper to bumper action!
2016 SEASON DONE & DUSTED
My fifth year of commentary is at an end after a superb season of Motorsport action which has certainly flown by in a flash, it's been another busy one with events here in the UK and across the border as well. As with any season there's plenty of highlights to look back on and one of them has to be getting the chance to work on Carfest South at laverstoke farm earlier in the year which was a massive pleasure to part of and was a real festival atmosphere which had plenty of exoctic cars to enjoy.
There was also another first for me this year when I got the chance to work at the ultra quick Thruxton circuit which was a great meeting when the CSCC descended there earlier in August, 750MC and No Limits made up the bulk of the remainder of my calendar in 2016 they're both great clubs which I thoroughly enjoy working for year on year and they came to a wonderful finish at Donington for their Finals meetings in October.
2017 is not to far away but as ever at this time of year it's a chance to relax for just a few months before it springs back into life sometime in March, already there's meetings lined up for next year which I look forward to announcing in the coming weeks. 2016 has been magnificent let's see what next year brings to the surface!
BIKES & FINALS WEEKEND
The next few weeks are certainly going to be busy with championships to be decided and some super close racing expected at the same time, first up for this weekend (24/25 Sept) though there's the penultimate rounds of No Limits racing which head to Brands Hatch to tackle the challenging circuit where some super close championship battles are set to continue.
As we head into October there's the small matter of the 750MC finals weekend (1/2 Oct) at Donington park to sort out which is always a real highlight of the season and should provide action a plenty all weekend long, then to follow that 1 week later (8/9 Oct) i'll be back at Donington to commentate on another Finals meeting this time on 2 wheels as No Limits round out their year in style with a mammoth weekend of racing where again many championships will be decided.
It's a first for me this weekend (26-28 August) as I'll be heading down to Laverstoke farm park to commentate on Carfest south which will definately have a great festival atmosphere featuring Motorsport and Live Music across all 3 days, there's plenty on offer for everyone as cars range from the 1900's right through to the modern era including race cars and supercars. There's also plenty of music on offer from the likes of The Proclaimers, Texas, Stereophonics, Rick Astley, Status Quo and many more greats.
It's sure to be an exhilirating weekend and I'm delighted to be involved this year where money is being raised for BBC Children in need.
BARC AT BRANDS
I'll be back at Brands Hatch on 25/26 June for a raft of racing from the BARC which will include the very popular Michelin Clio Cup Series where close racing is guranteed, a plethora of action from the Caterham Graduate championships where nose to tail fighting will be seen from start to finish and some of the local championships will be heading to the track which include the always popular Motorsport news saloon cars along with the Cannons Tin tops. A weekend of great club level racing in the middle of the summer is what we love at one of the best tracks around.
A few changes have been made to my commentary calendar for the remainder of the season so head to the relevant page to check it out.
It's on to Italy this weekend to join back up with the RGMMC group for the first X30 Euroseries race which is a new venture this year, it will feature 3 individual classes for Juniors, Seniors and Supers who will race through heats on Saturday before finals day on Sunday. Once again all the action can be caught online via rgmmcmedia.com where there should be some super kart racing across the 2 days hopefully in the sun at the beautiful setting of the 7 Laghi circuit.
BACK TO BACK BIKES
This weekend (16/17 April) will see Round 2 of No Limits Racing take place at the Snetterton circuit for another action packed bike meeting which features a bursting at the seams endurance grid with over 50 teams competing over 3 hours of racing and no less than 20 sprint races covering the 2 days as well, NLR always delivers and it's set to be a super weekend which you can follow online via NLR Radio at www.nolimitsracing.co.uk
The following Saturday (23 April) I'll be heading north once more as it's back to Oulton Park for a meeting with the Wirral 100 club which is a first for me and it'll feature an array of old and new machines along with some F2 sidecars, again it should be a very busy day of racing around the wonderful chesire track.
BUSY END TO MARCH
It was certainly a busy Easter weekend for me that saw 2 events across 4 days which included the opening rounds for No Limits racing at the beautiful Oulton Park circuit which delivered plenty of great bike racing and the same can be said for the MSVR meeting at Snetterton on Sunday/Monday which also featured the brand new BRDC F3 Championship, the weather managed to batter us all at times but we managed to get through all proceedings just about!
Now it's time for the next trip to begin for me as I'm off to Belgium this weekend (1/2/3 April) for the first championship rounds of the Rotax Max Euro Challenge which sees a superb entry list of no less than 160 drivers taking part, there's sure to be plenty of frantic racing as always especially with the Genk track hosting the event. The action will be broadcast online throughout the 3 days on www.rgmmc.com and lets hope the weather is kinder to us on this occasion.
UK SEASON IS GO
This Saturday (19th March) will see the UK club racing scene burst into life for 2016 and with that I'll be off to Snetterton for my first visit of the season where racing comes from MSVR, there will be action from the opening rounds of both the Lotus Cup uk and Lotus elise Trophy at the manufactures home track for a combined couple of races plus 2 races from Monoposto and 2 from the MSVR Allcomers. Add in the mix of Timed sprints and you've got yourself a full days racing at the Norfolk track.
My Calendar for the 2016 season is pretty much in place with a great selection of events coming up, it all starts a lot earlier this year as I'll be kicking off my commentary with the Brands rally stages this Sunday (31st Jan) which are always full of some wonderful rally cars whether they be old or new and drama aplenty. Once again this year I'll be hooking up with RGMMC for the coverage of the Rotax max Euro Challenge which will see me travel to such places as Italy, Spain, Belgium and France in what will be an extended calendar for the Karters.
I'll also have plenty of meetings here in the UK which include action on both 2 and 4 wheels, No Limits Racing will be upping the anty for both fans and riders as they introduce some new initiatives and I'm looking forward to being at almost every round. Mixed in with all of this is trips to a few 750MC events along with some MSVR, BRSCC and BARC meetings. All in all it's set to be a tremendous year of Motor racing in 2016.
Feel free to check out my Calendar page to have a look at where I'll be heading throughout the season.
So now that Christmas is over and we're into a new year it's time to start sorting out the season ahead and what might be coming up, already things are starting to slot into place for 2016 with some really enjoyable things to look forward to and hopefully i'll be in a position before the end of January to announce my commentary calendar for this year. Wherever I'll be heading I hope to catch up with as many people as possible in this new year of racing.
FOURTH SEASON DONE
So the end of another year is complete and it's now into the off season for a little break after another stella year of racing, I've enjoyed the events that I've been able to commentate on this year very much with a range of different clubs and alongside some great people.
There are always many highlights across the course of a racing season and one of those has to be attending the International GT Open at Silverstone where there was some super racing from all the different categories and one that I thoroughly enjoyed, saying that every event has been a pleasure to work on and I'm still very priviledged to get to do commentary as a job.
Now we'll breath for a short while before 2016 starts to creep up on us and look forward to what might be round the corner for the new season.
